What is Hogar Esperanza?

Hogar Esperanza/Hope House is located in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and is a home for orphaned and abandoned children. Since the establishment in September of 2000, Hope House has served a a home to children who otherwise would never have been shown the love and acceptance of a family. Hogar Esperanza is a home that:
  • Furnishes a stable, Christian, family environment to orphaned and abandoned children.
  • Forms and rears children in the admonition of God.
  • Provides a good education and vocational skills so as adults they will be productive members of society.

How does Hogar Esperanza operate?

Hogar Esperanza/Hope House is founded and administered on Christian principles where the children are offered the opportunity to become productive members of society, and most importantly, dedicated members in the kingdom of God. This home currently consists of two houses, one for boys and the other for girls, each with the capacity of eight children and a set of house parents. Here, the children are taught the value of a family and shown the love of God.

What is the vision of Hogar Esperanza?

The long term vision of Hogar Esperanza is to establish a community type facility for orphaned and abandoned children throughout the country of Honduras. This community will consist of a large section of land with various houses for children, a school and vocational workshops, as well as gardens and recreational areas. This facility will be able to care for up to 100 children.
